What do you work on?

I'm working on a couple things at the same time. Last weekend I gave a talk about nightlife photography at Fujikina Belgium, this weekend there is the book launch of my book 'Boom Boom' at Kiosk Radio with AfterClub Publishing. After that, I'm really looking forward to work on the new issue of Not So Difficult Magazine, a new music album with M. Bang and Movulango and the second album of my band Lieve Jongens with Gavin Vanaelst. In between I'm always working on commissions to finance my own projects.

What would you change?

For the world, there are so many things you have to change to be able to change the system. I would start by making empathy a law. It sounds like it would fix many things. For myself, I'd want to gain the ability to focus on one thing at a time. My head is always all over the place. It makes me create many things, but never makes me truly enjoy the process.

What do you love?

Over time, I'm more and more in love with everything mundane. I used to think crazy experiences would make me love life more, but the opposite is true. Sitting in the grass, making breakfast, petting a cat, smiling at people in the street, talking nonsense to my girlfriend, playing videogames, taking photos or videos with a camera without any pressure or expectations, listening to music again, enjoying the sun, complaining at the rain, calling friends. The small things.
